Fall does not automatically bring a surge in sales. The National Association of REALTORS® identifies spring and summer as the usual peak, with activity often slowing in fall and winter. Your agent can help you choose the right timing for your neighborhood and circumstances.

Start with what you’ll take. If you’re rightsizing, consider what fits your next home and supports the life you want there.

Prepare for photographs. Clear surfaces, open walkways and reduce excess furniture so the home’s features are easier to see.

Plan beyond the closing. Packing, moving and settling in deserve space on the calendar, too.
