More than Mahjong: Using Meetup to connect with other Active and Adventurous Seniors

  • Oxford Senior Center 922 Tollgate Drive Oxford, OH, 45056 United States (map)

PART OF THE FREE SEMINAR SERIES BEING HELD AT THE OXFORD SENIOR CENTER

Staying active can help lower your risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and some types of cancer. Improve your strength and balance so you can prevent injuries and stay independent.

February’s seminar will introduce participants to Meetup, a service used to organize groups that host in-person and virtual events for people with similar interests.

Meetup is a great way to connect with like-minded people for fun social and recreational activities.

There are Meetup groups all across the country for all kinds of interests and activities (e.g. hiking, photography, dating, cooking, movies, travel).

A representative from a Cincinnati Meetup group will be on hand to explore starting a Senior Meetup group in Oxford.

The workshop will be held in person at the Oxford Senior Center on Tollgate Road in Oxford, OH. Snacks and drinks will be served starting at 5pm. Parking is free.

REGISTER today and let us know if there’s anything specific you’d like addressed!

Play should be a major part of life for everyone. We can all probably use many more joyful experiences. It’s who we are, no matter our age.
